Kumbh Melas, the largest peaceful human congregation on Earth, have been celebrated as a pilgrimage at four sacred sites of Bharat for centuries. Kumbh Mela is a rare occasion where the astounding range of Hindu life and practices, textual and folk, temporal and spatial, and organic and cosmic, physical and spiritual, come together. The Kumbh Mela also provides an opportunity for scholars, thinkers, seekers and ascetics to contemplate on a diverse set of issues relevant to society.

The summit design embodies the cultural vibrancy of the Mahakumbh, presenting a seamless confluence of tradition and modernity. The design channels the essence of the Mahakumbh into a global summit identity. It reflects India’s spiritual depth and culture while speaking the language of sustainability and the future.

The theme draws inspiration from the Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj, the world’s largest spiritual gathering, held at the sacred Triveni Sangam — the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati. The Sangam embodies not just a meeting of rivers, but a union of culture, spirituality, and humanity.

The design approach seeks to translate this essence into visual form: the vibrant yet balanced imagery of the ghats, the ephemeral tent city, and the rhythm of rituals reflect both India’s cultural depth and its timeless spiritual harmony. Symmetry, sacred geometry, and natural flow are employed as design principles to symbolize equilibrium, devotion, and sustainability.

As the design partner for Kumbh Global Summit 2025, Karmanya Studio was responsible for conceptualizing and executing the complete visual branding for the summit. From creating the event identity to designing physical and digital assets, our goal was to deliver a cohesive and impactful experience that reflected the vision and prestige of the event.

The Mahakumbh 2025 Global Summit at Prayagraj became a unique confluence of faith and sustainability, blending India’s spiritual heritage with global dialogue on climate change, net-zero development, and LiFE practices. It highlighted how timeless traditions can inspire modern solutions for humanity’s collective future, making the Kumbh not just a pilgrimage, but a platform for global transformation.
